September Dreaming....

Ever since I was a little girl, I have treasured the Fall..... I love the leaves changing into such glorious colors... the crisp coolness.. that one day you are out and you feel it.. and it's like.. finally... cooler weather.... I live in Georgia.. and I love it..Winters are quite mild.. but the Summers .. oh dear me.. I become a vampire in the Summers... I call it Vampire Season.. because I will only go out after dark..hehehehe  Just too hot and muggy.. the humidity in the South is an issue for 3/4's of the year!!!

But Fall/Autumn  can be very, very lovely indeed.. my favorite time of the year to go to festivals... love them.. I like taking part and being a vendor even better.. though the ones I go to that are near me.. I don't even make my money back from the fees.. and get into the red even more, because my family buys things... eats the lovely festival foods, bits and pieces from other vendors.... but somehow... that never really bother's me that much.. I still love going to them.. but I do hope that one day.. I could go and participate in Roundtop. Malburger Farms or the Vintage Market Place... oh to travel to Texas and go to one of these.. or to go to California for one of theirs... that would be so much fun!!! One day.... One day....

But until then.. I keep ebay and etsy busy.. my local thrift store too.. and I get to dream and make things, find things.. oh such fun... I love the hunt!!!!

A few of the lovelies that I had the honor of finding.. some Victorian/Edwardian Etched Champagne Coupes.. these are so pretty.. and would be so perfect for a Bride and Grooms toasting glasses.. just love them!!!

I altered this little vintage mid century Rococo Style Candy Dish.. I added some lovely rose paper and antiqued the handle in white paint... then I sealed the underside and added gold glitter to the bottom... such a sweet and pretty little dish... just love how it came out!!!

I love these little French style little lamp shades... I embellished them with some tea stained lace ribbon and roses... so simply sweet!!!
Needlepoint.. Oh I love needlepoint.. and so excited to have found this lovely pillow.. a beautiful blue and white bowl with sweet Fall apples.. it has a navy blue velvet zippered back....  a great find...

I do love the thrift store... found this sweet faux fur collar and just had to dress it up in Mori Girl style... I  hand sewed some vintage style lace around the edge, added some hand made flowers, a bit of broken earring bling and a vintage Mid Century enamel pin.. so sweet.. and oops.. I forgot ... two champagne colored satin ribbon ties...so perfect to add to your favorite sweater!!!
These were so fun to make.. I came across a stash of  vintage little plastic flowers that I layered, painted on a bit of glimmering gold and two vintage rhinestones I salvaged from an evening wrap years ago... then I hand painted a bit of pink onto a vintage Japanese flower... all of  these lovelies I added onto a gold filigree piece that I painted a pale turquoise verdigris.. and accented them with two Swarvoski glass opals.. oh so beautiful.. I love these... but I am thinking of  putting them on two different necklaces as pendants though.. not sure.. hehehee...

Thank you for letting me share my finds and creations....... these are a few Vintagy items and things that I have been creating.. the stash I have as an artistically minded pack rat is amazing...if it's pretty I don't like to throw it out!!! Much to my families shagrin.... hehehehe

Here's hoping that your life is full of beauty, joy and peace.. and creativity!!!

Hugs and Much Love!!! ~~Angela~~

Mori Girl Love

The entire feeling behind Mori Girl... just lures me in.. it is so modest and simple... sharing a sweet honesty... a bit of Romance.  Not restricted by rules of modern society...but creates a warm, soft and beautiful society of it own...... so like I strive to be...want to be....long to be.....

To me...Mori Girl is traditional, taking it's roots in the softer times of before....

Bringing us to the point of remembrance of the simple and natural things in life....

Wanting us to go forward and yet to remember the kindness and softness of the past.... to perpetuate it.. to make it... to share it...

These are all things that Mori Girl, represents to me... a love of God, a love of home, a love of creation and a love for others.....
